November 12, 2019 against the Phoenix Suns (Win)

After sitting out the Lakers’ first four games due to an ankle injury he suffered in Team USA training camp, Kuzma struggled to get into his groove on offense. But the young budding star finally put in an efficient performance in his sixth game back from the injury. Kuzma scored 23 points against the Suns, while only logging in 25 minutes in the win. His two consecutive three-pointers in the clutch proved to be the night’s dagger.

December 25, 2019 against the Los Angeles Clippers (Loss)

Kuzma wasn’t around when the Lakers lost to the Clippers during the season’s opener, but he quickly made his presence felt in this game. He immediately made a corner trifecta in his first possession off the bench, setting the tone for his efficient outing in this Christmas Day match-up. Kuzma finished with 25 points and 4 rebounds, although the Lakers didn’t have the finishing kick, losing to the Clippers by five.

November 28, 2019 against the Portland Trail Blazers (Win)

After a disappointing Christmas Day loss to their hometown rivals, the Lakers would bounce back against Damian Lillard and the Blazers. Kuzma continued his hot shooting streak as he put up 24 markers, including three makes from beyond the arc. He did it from almost all fronts, scoring difficult baskets in transition and making the moves on the post.

January 10, 2020 against the Dallas Mavericks (Win)

Kuzma didn’t exactly have an efficient shooting display in this game, but his assertiveness on offense was badly-needed by the Lakers. Anthony Davis didn’t play, and Kuzma was inserted into the starting line-up. Kuzma delivered by finishing with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, including four offensive boards indicative of his energy and hustle.

January 11, 2020 against the Oklahoma City Thunder (Win)

It’s the second night of a back-to-back schedule, and AD and LeBron James were sitting out. It was a road game, and it seemed like everything was set up for a Laker loss. But along with the all-around brilliance of veteran point guard Rajon Rondo, Kuzma shone the brightest that night. He tallied a game-high 36 points and 7 boards, while shooting a tremendous 62% clip from the field. It was Kuz’ highest scoring output last season, and it came at the right time.

January 18, 2020 against the Houston Rockets (Win)

Still without AD and facing a healthy Rockets squad, the Lakers were able to overcome stellar offensive outputs from Russell Westbrook and James Harden. LeBron finished that game with 31 markers, while Kuzma reinforced him with 23 points and 8 rebounds.

August 10, 2020 against the Denver Nuggets (Win)

In what should be Kuzma’s biggest shot of the season, he delivered a game-winning triple to bury the Nuggets. In a perfectly-crafted play where LeBron acted as a decoy, Davis received the ball near the corner, then handed it off to Kuzma for a wide-open corner three. Kuzma hauled in an all-around stat line of 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
